I know what questions to ask because I've been there myself.
I started my first company, Urban Girl Squad, when I was 27. Urban Girl Squad was the premier networking group and event planning company for millennial women in New York City from 2009-2014. We hosted 150 custom-designed and sold-out events each year for our active audience. Our events were original, unique, and provided serious networking opportunities in a seriously lighthearted environment. I sold the company after six successful years to focus on my two kids.
Since the beginning of my time as an entrepreneur, I have been passionate about meeting with small business owners and helping them grow. I have worked with people at all ranges of business development, from current undergrads (I am an active alumni speaker at Barnard) to fully-funded businesses looking to reach new audiences.
